Mark Hauswald, MS, MD, FACEP
President, Founder and CMO
Dr. Hauswald is Professor of Emergency Medicine, Director of International Health Programs, co-director of the PAHO/WHO Collaborative Centre and Associate Dean (Emeritus) for Clinical Affairs and Patient Safety (primarily responsible for clinical QI) at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. He is also the co-medical director of the PNG (Papua New Guinea) Tribal Foundation and Senior Editor for Global Emergency Care at the journal Academic Emergency Medicine. He has been a member of two NIH study groups and recipient of fifteen research or service grants.
Dr. Hauswald has published 67 peer reviewed papers in the medical literature plus 4 textbook chapters and 40 minor publications – primarily on emergency and prehospital care and including several studies on medical devices. For the last decade he has focused on global health emergencies and he has done research and published on disaster response, childbirth emergencies and international ethics.
Dr. Hauswald was a member of UNM’s research Institutional Review Board for seven years and has an insider’s knowledge of the research approval systems of both universities and the Federal Government. He has developed a second innovation that UNM is currently in process of patenting. He is also a trained disaster worker and member of the US Disaster Medical Assistance Team with experience in earthquake relief in both Haiti and Nepal. Dr. Hauswald took early retirement when Associate Dean in order to devote more time to product development and global health. He is now part time at UNM but still has access to all its facilities.
In 2018 he received a Recognizance Award from STC-UNM and was featured on their annual calendar as one of the University’s 12 noted inventors.

Nancy L Kerr, MD, MPH, FACOG
Vice President
Dr. Kerr is Clinical Assistant Professor, Obstetrics & Gynecology, University of New Mexico (UNM). She has over 35 years of clinical experience as a specialist Obstetrician and Gynecologist including in the US Public Health Service on the Navajo Nation 1979-1981 and a during a busy practice in Albuquerque, NM. She has a particular interest in the treatment of post-partum hemorrhage. She is co-medical director for the PNG Tribal Foundation, which involves assessing and directing potential medical opportunities and programs in Papua New Guinea. She served as Chair of the Perinatal Committee at Lovelace Medical Centre, and as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St Joseph Medical Centre in Albuquerque NM.
Dr. Kerr is author of 14 publications in peer-reviewed journals and was co-Principle Investigator on a Gates Foundation Grand Challenges Explorations Grant during 2011-2012.
Other relevant information:
Dr. Kerr is a trained disaster worker and serves with the USA NM-1 DMAT. Deployed to Haiti in 2010, she worked as sole obstetric provider for the team in a challenging disaster zone. She has taught a global health course for US medical students in Nepal since 2008 and was present during the April 25 2015 earthquake.

Robert Bledsoe, CPA
CFO – Telluride Medical Solutions
Bob Bledsoe is a tax strategist, business and financial advisor with an emphasis on the entrepreneur. He has a passion for helping startup companies develop the business and financial foundation that will accelerate them to achieve their goals. He is the managing partner of San Juan Wealth Services located in Telluride, which serves entrepreneurial clients world-wide. He started his career as a tax auditor / computer programmer for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. He moved on from government service to found his own educational software company as its CEO and eventually merged it into Creative Education Institute, part of a group of 43 privately held companies worldwide, becoming the larger company’s COO. In addition to government and corporate experience he has started, bought and sold many businesses. He regularly assists startups in the role of part time and/or interim CFO. Recently he has assisted Capture Vascular a medical device startup and Awestruck Dental a dental device startup.
Bob is a licensed CPA in Texas and Colorado.

Heather Bledsoe, MS, CCC-SLP

An experienced sales executive and corporate communications mentor, Bledsoe has authored over 20 educational software products. Bledsoe has an extensive background as a private practice speech pathologist and as a consultant working for a range of clients and businesses, providing sales, service, and communications training to business owners, managers, and employees. As the Communications Mentor to the Telluride Venture Accelerator, ranked as one of the top Venture Accelerators in the country, she was awarded the highest level of mentorship achievement, the High Altitude Mentor. She has assisted numerous startup companies in getting their products off the ground and onto the next level of business development.
Heather Bledsoe recently served as the vice president of marketing and research at Awestruck Dental. Her portfolio includes all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing the company’s market strategy and marketing targets, as well as directing research and reporting results on Awestruck Dental devices, including the JawDropper™.
From 1997-2004, Bledsoe worked for the Creative Education Institute, first as the director of sales and service, then as vice president of client care and special assistant to the president. Most recently, Bledsoe was chief product designer, authoring and managing development projects in the areas of speech, reading ESL, and math software products. Bledsoe also founded and was executive vice president of IdeaBASE, Inc. from 1992 to 1997 after she authored a line of speech/language software.
Bledsoe is affiliated with the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and the Colorado Speech Language and Hearing Association. She is also a mentor in the Telluride Venture Accelerator Program.
